Almost Full

As I got in my car after work this evening, I noticed the moon was already up. It's almost full, and I think tomorrow night is the big night. Lucky for me, I've still got that nice 400mm lens, so I pulled it out and squeezed off a few shots. I think this is pretty impressive. Although I'm starting to entertain notions of renting a 600mm prime lens for a few hundred dollars some day... It's an addiction I tell you!

  2. Wowzers! That's great!

Do you ever bracket exposures on shots of the moon?

  3. I occasionally shoot 1/3 or 2/3 stop under. I also set the camera for automatic exposure on the smallest point possible, and the moon is big enough that I usually get good results at that.
